Mobile apps

A good app does one job properly, is clear about its limits, and feels at home on the phone.

We build mobile software for a specific use, not a generic shell with your logo dropped in. The apps in our portfolio started as real needs: measure a length and show the uncertainty, watch the Sun, picture the Earth’s weather as an electrical circuit, turn the phone’s own sensors into a small physics lab, or find a joke that fits the occasion.

Most of that work is Android. The joke catalog is both a website and an Android app. The portfolio page for each title says which it is, and what it refuses to claim.

Where it matters, the app is transparent on the screen itself. MeasureIT always shows an estimated range and states plainly that it is not a survey instrument. Earth Circuit draws a picture from a weather model and is clear that the columns illustrate a model, not a measured current. That kind of clarity is part of the product, not a footnote.

Each Android release already carries a package id in our records, so app-store sales can be attributed to the right title as soon as that integration is switched on.
